DescriptionA round pinback campaign button. The button is divided into two horizontal sections. The upper section has a blue halftone photographic image of Franklin Roosevelt on a white background. Curved over the portrait is red text that reads: ★ DOLLAR DEFENSE DIVISION ★. The lower section of the button is dark blue with white text that reads: ROOSEVELT. The manufacturer's information is stamped into the reverse of the button.

Label TextThis contributor button was sent to FDR in September 1940 by J. T. Scott Jr., Chairman of the Harris County (Texas) Democratic Convention and chairman of the Dollar Defense Division. The Dollar Defense Division worked to maintain America's first line of defense through the reelection of FDR.
