DescriptionA medal pin awarded to Franklin D. Roosevelt by the Internation Mark Twain Society. The award consists of a gold safety-type pin from which is suspended a small, round gold medal.
MEDAL OBVERSE: At the center is a left-facing relief profile of the head of Mark Twain with the artist's signature engraved below: M Rauline. A decorative border encircles the profile.
MEDAL REVERSE: Relief and engraved text reads: MARK TWAIN SOCIETY / FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT / GREAT ORATOR.
Label TextFranklin D. Roosevelt was awarded this medal pin in 1933 by the Internation Mark Twain Society in recognition of his campaign speeches.
