DescriptionA large black four-ring binder containing 259 buttons used in the 1940 presidential campaign. The exterior of the front cover of the binder has gold lettering in the center that reads: CAMPAIGN BUTTONS USED IN / ROOSEVELT-WILLKIE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION / 1940. Additional gold text in the lower right corners reads: SIDNEY J. WEINBERG. Stamped on the interior of the back cover is the binder manufacturer's information: LOOSE LEAF / MADE BY / WILSON-JONES CO. / U.S.A.
The binder contains six velvet-covered inserts ("pages") on which are pinned the various buttons from the campaign: page 1 (44 items); page 2 (15 items); page 3 (10 items); page 4 (60 items); page 5 (70 items); page 6 (60 items).

Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt on February 25, 1942. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
