DescriptionA 1944 campaign stamp cover with a pro-Roosevelt cachet. The white envelope bears a U.S. violet 3¢ Win the War Issue postage stamp (Scott 905). On the left side of the envelope is a cachet consisting of a blue halftone photographic headshot of Franklin D. Roosevelt encircled by a border of twelve red, white, and blue American flags. Blue text above and below reads: OUR COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF / FOR THE GREATEST GOOD TO THE / GREATEST NUMBER. Copyrighted by H. C. Hill of Flint, Michigan, U.S., 1943.

The envelope is hand addressed in ink to: Paul J. Miller / 48 W. 6th St., / Pottstown, Pa. It is postmarked Sassamansville, Pennsylvania, October 23, 1944. There is no return address.
