DescriptionA dark brown glazed ceramic mug with handle. The mug simulates a beer barrel. On one side is the raised profile image of Franklin D. Roosevelt within a shield with raised text above and below the profile: THE / NEW DEAL. There is no maker’s mark.
Label TextThis mug celebrated both the New Deal and the return of legal beer after passage of the Beer-Wine Revenue Act in 1933. It is on display in the BEER RETURNS! exhibit in the Museum’s NEW DEAL gallery.Additional Details
