DescriptionA watercolor painting of what appears to be a view of New York's Hudson River Highlands near West Point. At the center of the painting is the river on which is a number of small sailing vessels and one steam-powered sailing ship. High cliffs flank the river, and mountains are visible in the background. In the foreground, three men are standing and sitting on the side of a dirt road overlooking the river. Additional figures are seen fishing on the left side of the shoreline. The painting is unsigned.
The painting is matted, glazed, and framed in a 7/8" black and gilt wood frame.
