The publisher’s information is printed at the bottom of the label: PUBLISHED AND FOR SALE BY / D. O. GOODRICH, / Importer of fancy Goods & Toys, / AT BOSTON BAZAAR, / No. 302 Washington Street. / Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1859, by S. C. PERRIN, in the Clerk’s Office of the District / Court of the District of Massachusetts.

The box contains a green card with directions for the game and 72 white cards, each with the name of a monarch or important historical figure in red followed by three other names printed below in black.
Label TextThis game is part of a collection of 19th century games designed for the amuseument and instruction of children (MO 2007.858a-r) purchased by Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1939 for $97.50. The games, which were found together in the attic of an old house in Massachusetts, were put up for sale as a collection by The American Autograph Shop in Merion Station, Pennsylvania.
