DescriptionA small, sterling silver ashtray with scalloped edge. The maker's mark is on the underside and indicates the piece was made in the twentieth century: GORHAM / STERLING / 85.
Label TextOne of three identical sterling silver ashtrays (MO 1943.148.4-6) made by the Gorham Manufacturing Company. They were presented to President Roosevelt by his secretary, Grace Tully. The ashtrays are on display in FDR'S PRIVATE STUDY in the Permanent Exhibit.
