Descriptiona) A 14k gold Alpha Delta Phi Harvard Fly Club fraternity badge pin. On the front of the pin is a vertical oblong field of black enamel with rounded corners on which is a green enamel Star with a gold center, a white enamel crescent bearing the Greek letters AΔΦ, and the date "1832".

On the reverse, the pin has a relief image of a monument with a crossed sword and spear. Beneath the image is engraved text that reads: F.D. ROOSEVELT / HVD. '04 / 14K.

b) A small, black leather four-fold soft case, with a snap closure, for the pin. The manufacturer's information is embossed on the cover of the case: L.G. BALFOUR CO. / ATTLEBORO, MASS. The case is original to the pin.
Label TextHarvard undergraduate life revolved around a number of social clubs. FDR got a bid to Alpha Delta Phi, otherwise known as the "Fly Club." For the rest of his time at Harvard he was an active and enthusiastic member of "Fly."
