DescriptionAn original black and white cartoon. It features a chicken, labeled “CONGRESS,” with the head of a man wearing a battered top hat and smoking a cigar. The chicken is perched on a wooden fence and looking down at a basket of eggs, one of which has fallen out and lies broken on the grass. Several of the eggs in the basket are labeled as “BEER,” “ECONOMY BILLS,” “FARM AID,” and “BANKING LAWS.” The caption is written along the top of the cartoon: “SOMETHING TO CACKLE ABOUT.” The artist's signature is in the lower right corner: “S. S. Byck.”
