DescriptionA round pinback slogan button, possibly issued for the 1940 presidential campaign. The button has a circular white center bordered with a wide red band. White and blue text reads: LET'S WORK FOR AMERICA / GOOD / LOSERS / AND / WINNERS. The manufacturer's information is printed along the edge of the button.
Label TextThis button may have been issued by the Good Loser Club, a group created during the 1940 presidential election between Democrat Franklin Roosevelt and Republican Wendell Willkie. The club was based in New York where half of the members supported Roosevelt and the other half supported Willkie. It was formed with the intention of showing national unity by all of the members supporting whoever won the election regardless of who they had supported during it. The club's slogan was "Let's Work for America".
