DescriptionAn oval, silver-colored metal charm from the campaign of James Cox and Franklin Roosevelt. The vertically-elongated charm has a relief image on the right side of an eagle perched on a partially visible stars and stripes patriotic shield. On the left side of the charm are three lines of vertically-arranged incised text, infilled with black paint, that read: COX & ROOSEVELT / WASHINGTON / 1920. A hole at the top of the charm allows for hanging. The reverse side of the charm is blank.
Label TextIn 1920, FDR was the Democratic Party’s candidate for Vice President of the United States on a ticket headed by Ohio Governor James M. Cox.
