DescriptionAn unused rectangular campaign lapel tab. The tab has horizontal blue and white stripes with white and blue text that reads: REPEAL / 18TH AMENDMENT. The manufacturer's information and a union bug are printed on the tab.
Label TextThe 18th Amendment to the Constitution, ratified in 1919, banned the manufacture and sale of intoxicating liquors. Repeal of the amendment was a major plank in the Democratic Party’s 1932 platform and was promoted in campaign buttons and paraphernalia.
