BiographyA Virginia native, Courtney Allen was one of the nation’s top illustrators from the late 1920s through the 1960s. His work appeared in books and national magazines, including "Collier’s," "Field and Stream," and "The Saturday Evening Post". During the postwar years Allen worked increasingly as a sculptor and portrait painter.
