DescriptionA color poster honoring the 168th anniversary of the founding of the United States Marine Corps. The poster features a large illustration of two battle worn American Marines in the lower forefront, both uniformed and carrying rifles. In the sky behind them is the image of a colonial era U.S. Marine drummer. In the upper right corner of the illustration is the Marine Corps emblem, and the artist's facsimile signature: Carl Shreve USMCR. Blue and red text above, on, and below the illustration reads: SEMPER FIDELIS / NOVEMBER 10 1775-1943 / 168TH ANNIVERSARY / U.S. MARINE CORPS.

Additional small text running along the bottom of the poster says: 9-9-43 REQ'N 1711-17500 / McCANDLISH LITHO CORPORATION, PHILA, PA.

The poster has a cardboard easel back.
