DescriptionA 48-star American flag. The flag has been folded into approximately a square and placed inside a custom-made cherry wood display case designed for ceiling mounting. On one side of the case is an oval brass plaque with engraved text that reads: "American Flag which was flown over the east / front of the U.S. Capitol . . . on the / occasion of my second Inauguration on January 20th, 1937" / Franklin D. Roosevelt / February 10, 1937.
