DescriptionA small black and white poster featuring a drawn cartoon reproduced from the December 28, 1941 edition (page 6-M) of the Chicago Sunday Times. The cartoon shows a closeup view of Wake Island being defended by American Marines while under attack by the Japanese by land and sea. The artist's facsimile signature is in the lower right corner of the cartoon: - MacArthur. Text above the cartoon reads, "THE VALOR: 'Send Us More Japs'" followed by a paragraph describing the attack and the heroic efforts of the Marines to defend the island before it fell to the Japanese.
