DescriptionA red, white, and blue text-based poster promoting the Army Institute (later the United States Armed Forces Institute - USAFI). At the top of the red-bordered white poster is the heading, "The Educational Program of the United States Army," anchored by the small, illustrated portraits of a civilian young man on the left and a uniformed young man on the right. The poster is divided into two halves with bulleted points highlighting what educational tasks to do “BEFORE YOU ENTER THE SERVICE” on the left, and what steps to take with the Army Institute “AFTER YOU ENTER THE SERVICE” on the right.

The poster was issued by the Army Institute in Madison, Wisconsin.
