DescriptionA black and white poster promoting wartime discretion. At the top of the poster is an illustration of several soldiers manning a machine gun pointed at a beach and the water beyond where various military actions are taking place. Beneath the illustration is the heading, “With the Help of God . . . . . and a few Marines!” followed by several paragraphs of text regarding the December 1941 action on Wake Island, followed by a reminder to Americans against careless talk. To the right of the narrative is the “FOR VICTORY” buy war bonds minuteman logo. At the bottom of the poster is a list of Cleveland, Ohio companies who sponsored the poster.
