DescriptionA black and white poster promoting wartime discretion. At the top of the poster is an illustration of a map highlighting the distance between Newfoundland and England over the Atlantic Ocean. Beneath the illustration is the heading, “Six Hours and 40 Minutes from flaming hell . . . 400 minutes from screaming death,” followed by several paragraphs of text that form a narrative reminding Americans of the relative ease of flying between the two coasts and to not “talk too much.”
