Descriptiona) A paperweight commemorating the 1936 Arkansas Centennial. Designed in the shape of the state of Arkansas, the paperweight is made from a piece of buff colored firebrick with glazed edges. Inscribed on the surface of the paperweight is text that reads: ACME BRICK CO / LITTLE ROCK–FT SMITH / ARKANSAS / CENTENNIAL / 1936.

b) The paperweight comes the original envelope in which it was sent in. The tan envelope is an official U.S. House of Representatives envelope from the office of John J. McClellan of Arkansas. The envelope is hand addressed in ink to: Fragile / Hon. Henry Morgenthau, Jr. / Secretary of the Treasury, Washington, D. C. / Personal.
