DescriptionAn original black and white cartoon featuring Franklin D. Roosevelt's Scottish terrier dog, Fala. The cartoon is of a scene showing Fala outside the south side of the White House where he is talking to three men - a sailor, a businessman, and a thief. The Washington Monument is seen in the background. The artist's signature is in the lower left corner of the cartoon: ALAN FOSTER. The caption is handwritten in blue below the cartoon: "SORRY, GENTLEMEN - WE'RE NOT CONTEMPLATING ANY NEW CABINET APPOINTMENTS UNTIL AFTER THE ELECTION". The cartoon sheet has several publication notes written in pencil including the number "8762".
