DescriptionA painting of the British sailing vessel, RECORD. It depicts a side view of the three-masted sailing ship with a black painted hull. Shown under full sail in a heavy sea, the ship is flying a series of British nautical flags at the stern. A lighthouse, set atop a rock jutting up from the sea, is visible in the distance on the left. The title of the painting is written in paint at the bottom center: Record C.E. McNutt Master. The painting is signed by the artist in the lower left: W. H. Yorke / Liverpool.
