DescriptionAn original black and white cartoon featuring Franklin D. Roosevelt's Scottish terrier dog, Fala. The cartoon is an indoor scene showing Fala lying in an armchair next to which is a birdcage with a bird singing away. On the floor in front of the armchair is an edition of The Daily Bugle newspaper with a headline that reads, "PETRILLO STOPS ARMY BAND BROADCAST." The artist's signature is in the lower right corner of the cartoon: ALAN FOSTER. The caption is typed on a slip of paper adhered below the cartoon: "I better enjoy this while I can!" The cartoon sheet has a publication measurement written in pencil on it.
On the reverse of the cartoon sheet are additional publication notes and a blue ink stamped Liberty magazine form with handwritten pencil information filled in: LIBERTY ART DEPT. / MACFADDEN PUBLICATIONS, INC. / SUBJ. CARTOON / ISSUE Sept - 5th 1942 / PAGE 58 / INSERT No. [blank].
