DescriptionA Portuguese language poster promoting inter-American solidarity during World War II. At the center of the poster is a large color photographic image of an older man holding a young girl in his arms and standing in front of the ruins of a bombed building. “O QUE OS NAZISTAS DEIXARAM” is printed in black in the upper left of the image. Portuguese text in black on yellow bands above and below the image reads: “ BOMBARDEIOS NAZISTAS / Os nazistas destroem o que não podem defender. Estes civís italianos observam consternadamente enquanto a artilharia alemã converte seus lares em escombros.”
