DescriptionA Spanish language poster promoting inter-American solidarity during World War II. The poster features a large black and white photographic portrait of FDR against a blue and red background with two white stars. Under the portrait is white text that reads: “FRANKLIN D. Printed in small text along the bottom of the poster: " Publicado por El Coordinador de Asuntos Interamericanos, Washington, E. U. A."
Label TextPresident Roosevelt created the Office of the Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs during World War II to counter Italian and German propaganda in Latin America and promote political, economic, and cultural ties with the United States. He appointed Nelson Rockefeller as the Coordinator.
