DescriptionA red, white, and blue campaign poster advertising a “FINAL ROOSEVELT RALLY” to take place at New York’s Carnegie Hall at 57th Street and 7th Avenue on November 4 [1940] at 8:30 p.m. Through the use of text and graphic elements (circles, bands, and boxes) the poster informs that the rally is “Sponsored by NATIONAL COMMITTEE OF INDEPENDENT VOTERS FOR ROOSEVELT and WALLACE.” Speakers at the rally are listed as Mayor F. H. LaGuardia, Dorthy Thompson, Alexander Woollcott, Abraham Cahan, Father John P. Boland, “AND OTHER PROMINENT SPEAKERS.” Included in the rally is “SPECIAL ENTERTAINMENT” with “Leading Stage, Screen, Radio and Concert Stars.”
