DescriptionA wooden model of the canoe, QUEETS OLYMPIC. The canoe is carved from one piece of varnished alder wood and decorated with black and red figures of a bear, huntsman with bow and arrow, whale, and other things. The name of the canoe is either side of the bow. A cardstock label on the starboard side has handwritten in ink: 41.
Label TextThis model was presented to President Roosevelt in 1937 by the maker, Robert E. Lee of Hoquiam, Washington, of the Quileute Indian Nation.
