DescriptionA handled creamer in the Rho Dendra pattern in blue. The pattern consists of a white interior separated from the blue exterior by a narrow black band along the top edge. The design of the creamer has been customized with the addition of the Roosevelt coat of arms and name in black on one side of the creamer.

On the underside of the creamer, the manufacturer's mark is stamped in black: Rho Dendra / CARR CHINA.
Label TextThis creamer is part of a partial set of matching Rho Dendra china (MO 1980.35.1-12) manufactured in 1939 by the Carr China Company in Grafton, West Virginia especially as a gift for Eleanor Roosevelt. Mrs. Roosevelt proceeded to give the set to Earl Miller who served as her bodyguard during the years when FDR was Governor of New York and became a close friend. Miriam S. Abelow, who donated the set to the FDR Library, received the china from Earl Miller who was a friend and correspondent of Mrs. Abelow and her husband.
