DescriptionA magnifying glass paperweight. The bubble-shaped magnifier is set within a square glass surround. The top of the surround is covered with mahogany-colored leatherette embossed with gold text that reads: CHRISTMAS 1943 / From / F.D.R.
Label TextThis magnifying paperweight is a 1943 example of Christmas gift items distributed by Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. It was given by FDR to Lela Mae Stiles, a research assistant on the White House secretarial staff.
