DescriptionA large red, white, and blue crocheted 48-star American flag. Within each of the forty-eight stars is a small, round portrait of the governor of each state, placed in the order of when that state entered the union. Threaded through a hole in the upper left corner of the flag’s white crocheted header is a gold-colored rope. Attached to one end of the rope is a white crocheted star, outlined in blue, with a picture of Franklin D. Roosevelt on one side and the words "DEC 7 1941" on the other. The other end of the rope has a similar crocheted star with a picture of General Douglas MacArthur on one side and the words "SEPT 13 1942" on the other.
