DescriptionA black and white poster promoting wartime discretion. At the top of the poster is an illustration of a submarine periscope poking up from open water in the foreground, while a sinking ship with smoke billowing from it is seen in the distant background. Beneath the illustration is the heading, “. . . ‘where was Jim when you heard from him last?’” followed by several paragraphs of text that form a narrative reminding Americans to not “talk too much.” To the left of the narrative is the “FOR VICTORY” buy war bonds minuteman logo. At the bottom of the poster is a list of Cleveland, Ohio companies who sponsored the poster.
