Label TextFranklin Roosevelt was an avid, lifelong collector of prints, engravings, and paintings illustrating the history of the United States Navy. This portrait of Esek Hopkins (1718-1802) is one such example. Hopkins was the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Navy in the early days of the Revolutionary War.The engraving is mounted on a piece of cardstock.
