Descriptiona-b) A pair of oval, gold-plated cuff links, each with "FDR" engraved on one half, and "JNG" engraved on the other half . There is no maker's mark on the links.

c) A blue leather jeweler's box for the cuff links. The interior of the lid has the maker's information: A. Kahn Inc. / Jewelers / 935 F STREET / WASHINGTON, D.C.
Label TextThe cuff links were presented to Franklin D. Roosevelt by John Nance Garner. Garner was FDR's vice president from March 4, 1933 - January 20, 1941.

The cuff links were inherited by FDR's son, James Roosevelt, who in turn presented them to his campaign manager, George E. Outland, in appreciation of his service during his run as a Democratic Party candidate in the 1950 California gubernatorial primary. George Outland's son, John W. Outland, donated the cuff links to the FDR Library in 2014.
