DescriptionA Persian Isfahan rug with an ornate floral design in shades of blue, pink, red, blue-green, and cream. There are 50 knots to the square inch. A fringe is found at both ends.
Label TextThis Persian rug, woven in Isfahan, was presented to President Roosevelt on November 30, 1943 by the Shah of Iran during the Teheran Conference. The rug was designed by the celebrated Iranian artist, Imami, and took ten years to make. It is on display in FDR'S PRIVATE STUDY in the Permanent Exhibit.
