DescriptionA blue-green porcelain rooster figurine. The maker's mark -- a reverse R back-to-back with the letter P -- is on the underside of the base and flames surround the letters and the following text: M, and on the bottom, RP / XXVIII / 6030. The Roman numerals translate into 28.
Label TextPresident Roosevelt kept this figurine on his Oval Office desk. It is on display in the FDR’S OVAL OFFICE DESK exhibit in the Museum’s APRIL 12, 1945 gallery.
