DescriptionA commemorative piece featuring two green and white unfinished hulls mounted on a single wooden base with metal plaque. The inscription notes that they are from Maierform of America, Inc., New York. The rest reads: HONOURABLE FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT / PRESIDENT / of the / UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / with compliments of / MAIERFORM OF AMERICA, INC. / New York / T.S.S. 'Ile de Beauté' (Passenger ship deLuxe plying between Marseilles and Corsica) / Built by Deutsche Schiffund Maschinenbau Akt. Ges. Werk A.G. Weser / Owners: Companie Fraissinet, Marseilles. Following the inscription are dimension, speed, and power comparisons between normal ships and a Maierform - the only difference being in power, to the advantage of the Maierform.
