DescriptionAn ice yacht wind finder used to determine wind direction. It consists of a vertical metal rod with a metal ball approximately halfway up and a rotatable horizontal metal piece at the top to which is attached a small red fabric pennant. All the metal pieces are painted brown.
Label TextThis wind finder was used on the 19th century ice yacht, ICICLE, which was owned by John Aspinwall Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt's uncle.
