DescriptionA black and white wood engraving depicting an industrial scene in South Chicago. It shows two men shoveling snow in the foreground, and factory buildings in the background. The artist's signature is in pencil in the lower right below the image: Todros Geller 37. It is titled in pencil in the lower left below the image: South of Chicago 4/25. Handwritten in blue pencil in the lower right corner: 15x20 / cream satin / 23. Handwritten in pencil on the reverse lower left: 496.
Label TextThis print was created for the Pennsylvania Art Project, Federal Art Project, Works Progress Administration. It was displayed at the New York World's Fair in 1940.
