DescriptionAn oil on canvas painting depicting a Chicago scene in winter. It shows fenced yards, cars on a snowy street, and three people walking on the sidewalk. Skyscrapers are visible in the background. It is signed by artist in the lower left: CEIL / ROSENBERG.

The canvas is attached to a stretcher and is framed in a 3" carved wood frame. A metal plaque attached to the bottom center of the frame reads: PUBLIC WORKS OF ART PROJECT. Affixed to the lower left corner of the frame is a paper sticker with "91" printed on it. Written in blue on the reverse of frame: Box - 56. The frame has a wire hanger and "D" hooks on the reverse.
Label TextThis painting was created for the Treasury Department’s Public Works of Art Project (PWAP). It was displayed at a PWAP exhibit at the Corcoran Gallery from April 24-May 20, 1934.
