DescriptionA patriotic color print. At the center of the color print is the first line of the Pledge of Allegiance in the style of an illuminated manuscript: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of / the United States of America / and to the Republic for which it stands, / One Nation Indivisible, with / Liberty and Justice / for All.” The wording sits within a decorative surround that includes an image of the American flag above, and below is an illustration of Betsy Ross holding out her flag design for inspection, flanked by images of an eagle on a Betsy Ross flag (left) and a portrait of George Washington (right). Printed directly below the artwork: " ~ J. R. ROSEN · BOSTON ~ ~ A. E. HILTON · PORTRAITIST ~." Printed in lower left corner: "© PRINTED BY BROWN & BIGELOW, ST. PAUL, MINN., U. S. A."

The print is glazed and framed in 1" gold-painted wood frame. Pasted to the backer paper on the reverse of the frame is a printed page with information regarding the print.
