The best known was Fala, a Scottish terrier given to him by his distant cousin, Margaret “Daisy” Suckley, in 1940. During World War II, Fala became Roosevelt’s constant companion and the most famous dog in America. This rubber ball is on display in the FALA exhibit in the Museum’s WORLD WAR II gallery.
