DescriptionA bag to hold needlework supplies. The pale pink silk bag has two fabric-covered cotton handles ending in fabric-covered buttons. The image of a wicker vase containing a bouquet of flowers is appliquéd and embroidered on the front of the bag. The interior of the bag is lined with light green satin and has a pocket. Metal snaps are found on the interior sides of the bag, as well as on the pocket.
Label TextEleanor Roosevelt enjoyed knitting and embroidering. This bag contained several items believed to be pieces she was working on before she died (see MO 1971.17a-c and MO 1971.18a-b).Additional Details
