BiographyJoseph Auslander was an American poet, anthologist and novelist, known particularly for editions of a poetry anthology, The winged horse, first published in 1929. He served as poetry consultant to the Library of Congress in the years immediately preceding the United States' entry into World War II. His poetry appeared over the decades in many poetry journals and general interest publications. Auslander also collaborated on two novels with his wife, the poet Audrey Wurdeman. He died in 1965.
