Physical DescriptionA round campaign button from the campaign of Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman. The button consists of three horizontal bands in red, white, and blue. The wider white center section, divided by a red horizontal line, has blue text that reads: Roosevelt / Truman. Instructions on the reverse side indicate the button is either to be attached through a buttonhole or pinned on. A union bug is printed on the reverse.
Historical NoteThis button was distributed by the West Tennessee Democratic Club. It is an example of buttons made of cardstock and cardboard due to the wartime metal shortage during the 1944 presidential campaign.
