Physical DescriptionA round pinback 1938 license button allowing for non-resident hunting and trapping in Delaware. Blue text on the yellow button reads: NON-RESIDENT / FULL TERM / HUNTING & TRAPPING / LICENSE / 16 / 1938 / DELAWARE.

The reverse of the button has a safety catch pin and a holder for tags. Also on the reverse, the manufacturer's information is stamped into the metal: THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. • NEWARK, N.J. • / PAT. 1633725.
Historical NoteThis Delaware hunting and trapping license button, and a similar one for fishing (see MO 1996.45.2), were sent to President Roosevelt in 1938 - along with accompanying paper licenses - by Leonard K. Yerker, President of Delaware's Board of Game and Fish Commissioners.
