Physical DescriptionA blue and red knitted dog sweater. The body of the sweater is dark blue with red trim. There is a large, folded collar opening for the head, and two short sleeves for the front legs. The sweater fastens with five red buttons that run down the length of the shorter underside (stomach side).
Historical NoteMany people sent gifts to FDR’s famous Scottish terrier, Fala. In May 1944, Marguerite Perennore of Great Neck, New York mailed President Roosevelt “this little sweater for your little Fala.”
