Physical DescriptionA model of the brig-of-war, HMS VIPER. The ship's hull is painted green below the water line, and is natural oak above. The two masts have no sails, and the American flag flies off of the rear mast. A rowboat is suspended from the stern. The model sits on a wooden cradle stand.

Custodial History NoteDeposited at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum by Franklin D. Roosevelt on November 27, 1941. It was donated as a bequest of FDR to the Library in 1947.
