Physical DescriptionAn illustrated color poster featuring the cartoon images of women in various industrial and service jobs working on and around a large sign made up of individual purple and red letters that read all together, "WOMEN." In the upper left corner of the poster is the tail of an airplane, while in the lower right corner two women are working on a jeep. The artists facsimile signature is to the right of the jeep: VERNON / GRANT / FOR O.W.I. Black text below the illustrations reads: There's work to be done / and a war to be won . . . / Now! White text on a brown strip along the bottom of the poster reads: SEE YOUR U. S. EMPLOYMENT SERVICE / WAR MANPOWER COMMISSION. The poster was printed by the U.S. Government Printing Office, poster no. 1944-O-598047.
