Physical DescriptionA pair of slippers personalized by Eleanor Roosevelt. The black leather slippers each have a hand-embroidered front upper consisting of the initials "ADG" (Arno David Gurewitsch) in gold yarn on a blue yarn background bordered by gold-colored leather piping at the opening.
Historical NoteThese slippers were embroidered by Eleanor Roosevelt for her personal physician and friend, Dr. A. David Gurewitsch.
